Bengal kittens near me is a very popular search term on the internet for people interested in Bengal Kittens but most people don't know that many reputable breeders will ship your new Bengal kitten right to your nearest airport.

Is shipping a young kitten by air safe you might ask?  Yes and it takes only a few hours from drop off at the breeders airport to the airport nearest your home. Carriers like Delta have special Pet services that insure live pets get to where they are going quickly, safely and at a reasonable cost.

The most important part of the process is finding the right Bengal breeder. Bengal kittens are expensive and to insure that you get a Real Bengal with the important personality traits that make Bengals different from every other cat you need to search carefully to find the right breeder.

We have put together an easy to follow checklist for choosing the right breeder.  Be sure to review it and use it to screen your potential Bengal Breeder.

Important things to consider.

• Be sure the breeder is available to chat with you on the phone, By Skype, Facetime etc so that you can get a good feel for the breeder.
• If you can visit the breeders facility or home, do that and look at how the kittens are raised.
• You want to avoid breeders that keep their Queens, Studs or kittens in cages.  This is not conducive to happy, healthy, well socialized kittens.
• When you facetime or skype ask to see where the kittens live and see the specific kitten you are interested in.
• Look at the kittens eyes.  They should be bright and clear with no discharge from the nose.
• Look for active, playful kittens that don't run or shy away from the breeder.
• Ask to see the mother and Stud. They will be good indicators of what your kitten will look like when it grows up.
• If possible schedule a visit at the breeders home.
• Stay away from out of country breeders as much as possible because there are so many Bengal scams...
• If the price seems to good to be true for a Bengal, Run because it is almost certainly not a Purebred Bengal and will NOT have the traits that make a Bengal wirth the money.
• Be sure both the mother and stud are registered Bengals.
• Shy away from breeders that will ship a kitten that is less than 10 weeks old.  Kittens should be with mom for 10 to 14 weeks at least.
